I am an associate professor at the Université Laval and head principal investigator of the Modern and Ancient Genomes Group. Prior to this, I was associate professor at Technical University of Denmark, a postdoc both at the Department of Molecular Medicine (MOMA) at the University of Aarhus and at the Center for GeoGenetics at the University of Copenhagen. I completed my Ph.D at the Max Planck Institute of Evolutionary Anthropology. Before that, I was working as a bioinformatician at the National Cancer Institute of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. I also worked at the National Human Genome Research Institute in Bethesda, USA. I completed my Master's of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo and my B.Sc. in Theoretical Computer Science at the University of Montreal.
